Building a cleaner, greener, and self-sustaining community through youth leadership.
ProGreeners WEMPA Youth CBO was founded to address two critical community challenges: environmental degradation caused by unmanaged waste and the high rates of youth unemployment in our locality. Recognizing that young people possess the energy and innovative spirit required for lasting social change, our founders united to turn solid waste management into a viable community enterprise.
Starting as a grassroots volunteer initiative conducting weekend neighborhood clean-ups, the organization quickly evolved into a structured Community Based Organization. By implementing a formal household garbage collection model, we established a consistent operational pipeline that cleans streets while generating reliable income for participating local youth.
Today, ProGreeners WEMPA Youth operates as an integrated environmental and socio-economic empowerment platform. We bridge the gap between municipal sanitation needs and youth livelihoods, advocating for circular economy practices, waste recovery, and continuous environmental stewardship across households, schools, and business centers.
